Episode One – This is Where It Starts

Welcome to the first episode of The Liam Rey Show.

Available on Spotify, and YouTube and Apple Podcasts (links below).

We shine a light on Manx stories — the voices, journeys, and experiences that make the Isle of Man unique.
Each episode brings conversations with business owners, creators, and people with stories to tell — unfiltered, engaging, and real.

Everyone has a story.
It’s what makes us human.
And I know people want to hear it — to feel connected to the storyteller.
Whether it’s an entrepreneur shaping the future, an artist redefining creativity, or someone with an extraordinary personal journey, The Liam Rey Show captures the essence of what makes the Isle of Man special.

This first episode is where I tell my story.
It’s a raw, unfiltered account of what it really takes to keep showing up when the finish lines don’t come with medals.

This is not a motivational reel.
It’s not a highlight montage.
It’s my life — one chapter at a time.

Told through the lens of depression, endurance, humour, health, grief, growth, and the inner voice I call Kevin, The Liam Rey Show is an honest look at survival, collapse, recovery, and the breakthrough that changed everything.

From aviation to anxiety, marathons to mental breakdowns, I’ve lived in the extremes — and survived them quietly.

This show is where it starts, me stepping forward — not to perform, but to be honest.
Not to inspire.
But to take ownership of my own mental health.

It never started out that way.
The original plan was to tell my story — because I can’t ask people to share theirs unless I’ve shared mine first.

What’s transpired with this first episode, however, is a feature-length, 15,000-word reckoning —
recorded without rehearsal, in real time, warts and all.
Except for a touch of polish…
and to save you from the moments where I blew my nose.

Thank you for listening.
I’m Liam Reynolds.
And this… is The Liam Rey Show.
